Daniel Ortiz is a guitarist, composer and educator originally from Colombia based in the south-east of Melbourne. After residing in Auckland NZ for 12 years, Daniel recently relocated to Melbourne. Throughout the past 8 years, he has proudly served as a program coordinator for the Guitar department at Chiron Music Academy.

Daniel has over fifteen years of teaching experience which involves exams preparation in both classical and electric guitar, guitar ensemble coaching, composition workshops and introduction to music technologies.

After completing his Bachelor of Music Performance degree, Daniel expanded his expertise by studying Suzuki methodology and music production (2011). While working at Chiron Music Academy in NZ, he organised a comprehensive curriculum for students focusing on solo guitar and ensemble performance between 2014 and 2023.
